About AL1688 Leaf Chains
AL1688 is an ultra-heavy-duty AL series leaf chain following ANSI B29.8 standard. It features an 8×8 lacing structure with a pitch of 50.8 mm (2.0 inch). Built from heat-treated high-strength alloy steel, it uses precision blanked link plates and hardened solid pins, offering exceptional tensile strength and superior fatigue resistance.
It is developed for the most rigorous lifting and tensioning scenarios. With minimal permanent elongation under continuous heavy loads, it flexes smoothly over sheaves. Widely used in heavy forklift masts, large hoists, lifting platforms and counterweight assemblies. Optional surface treatments and custom clevis fittings are available on demand.
