About AL1288 Leaf Chains
AL1288 is an ultra-heavy-duty AL series leaf chain compliant with ANSI B29.8 standard. It has an 8×8 lacing structure and a pitch of 38.1 mm (1.5 inch). Fabricated from heat-treated high-strength alloy steel, it uses precision blanked link plates and hardened solid pins for maximum tensile strength and superior fatigue resistance.
Built for demanding lifting and tensioning tasks, it maintains minimal permanent elongation under continuous heavy loads and flexes smoothly over sheaves. Typical applications include heavy forklift masts, large hoists, lifting platforms and counterweight assemblies. Multiple surface treatments and custom clevis fittings can be supplied as required.
