About AL1222 Leaf Chains
AL1222 is an AL series leaf chain built to ANSI B29.8 standard. It adopts a 2×2 lacing structure with a pitch of 38.1 mm (1.5 inch). Made of heat-treated high-strength alloy steel, it features precision blanked link plates and hardened solid pins, delivering reliable tensile strength and good fatigue resistance.
It is designed for lifting and tensioning applications. The chain runs smoothly over sheaves with low elongation under moderate loads. It is widely used for forklift masts, hoists, counterweight systems and heavy material handling equipment. Optional surface treatments and custom clevis fittings are available upon request.
