About #140H-2 Cottered Roller Chain

#140H-2 is double-strand heavy-duty cottered roller chain following ANSI B29.1 standard. The letter H denotes reinforced thicker side plates for higher ultimate tensile strength and outstanding impact resistance. It uses cotter pin construction rather than riveted pins, enabling quick assembly, disassembly and convenient field maintenance.

Fabricated from heat-treated carbon steel with shot-peened link plates, it features great wear resistance and anti-fatigue property. Its pitch is 1.75 inch (44.45mm). It is commonly used for heavy-load transmission in mining equipment, port machines and bulk conveyors, and fully interchangeable with matching ANSI sprockets.
